Mothers Day 2018
Early in 2018; the Seva Bhakti Foundation (SBF) embarked on its first major event for the year, by deciding to host a Mother’s Day at the Aryan Benevolent Home (ABH) in Chatsworth. Members of the community were urged to provide clothing and bare necessity items, toward a hamper for each lady at ABH. The support was overwhelming as the target goal of 167 hampers was able to be created for the ladies of ABH.

On the May 6th 2018; members of the SBF as well as caring volunteers, held a pamper session for the ladies at Dayanand Garden Home, situated in the ABH Arena Park headquarters. The ladies were treated to manicures, makeup sessions as well as hand and shoulder massages. Local celebrity Maeshni Naicker (Keeping Up with the Kandasamys) volunteered her time to provide entertainment to the ladies as well as to get them moving. Shortly after lunch, the hampers were handed out and delivered to the appreciative ladies of the ABH.

Seva Bhakti Foundation would like to thank each and every person who provided items and cash towards the hampers as well as their time in ensuring a successful Mother’s Day event at ABH. To mention each individual person would take too long but special mention needs to go out to Leuko Sports Strapping for providing hampers, as well as Lorraine Naidoo and family for their overall contribution towards the event.

“In a child’s eyes, a mother is a goddess. She can be glorious or terrible, benevolent or filled with wrath, but she commands love either way. I am convinced that this is the greatest power in the universe.” – N.K. Jemisin
