Cuppa for CANSA 2019
From June to October 2019, is Cuppa For CANSA season. This campaign initiated by the CANSA organisation; which is aimed at people getting together to enjoy their favourite beverages, gaining awareness about cancer and to support a great cause by donating to CANSA.
On August 3rd; the Seva Bhakti Foundation (SBF) hosted a Cuppa For CANSA event. Since the effects of cancer hit close to home for some of the members, it was important to SBF to ensure that this event was a success.
Leading up to the event; the SBF members, along with the team from CANSA, worked tirelessly to ensure awareness of the event and ticket sales were progressing.
SBF were fortunate to have the use of the Ebenezer Church in Lotus Park, Isipingo; donated as the venue for the event. The theme of the Cuppa For CANSA event was “High Tea with a Bollywood Twist”, with the Kandasamy’s Maeshni Naicker as the MC.
On the morning of the event, SBF members and volunteers got together to finish setup the venue for the event. Snacks are treats were generously provided by the members and volunteers, as well.
All of the hard work and effort into the event paid off, as the Cuppa For CANSA was a huge success. A crowd of over 120; were treated to awesome performances by local talents while continuously being entertained by the engaging Maeshni Naicker. The crowd played their part, by willingly participating in the games. Winners of the games presented were with gifts. Lucky draw prizes were also given out. There was a wide range of tasty snacks and treats to go along with a variety of drinks, for the crowd to enjoy. Excess snacks and treats were provided to the crowd, upon leaving.

Lastly; Seva Bhakti Foundation and CANSA are grateful to everyone who purchased a ticket. All the hard work and effort would have meant nothing if the community did not support the event. Your energy levels and willingness to participate, during the event, ensured that the SBF Cuppa For CANSA event was a huge success. SBF hopes that everyone who attended, enjoyed themselves as they have contributed towards a generous cause to help aid a great organisation like CANSA, who is pivotal in the lives of cancer victims and their families.
